BIG DAWG CORNHOLE Game Schedule Change for July

   Attention BIG DAWGS CORNHOLE fans! As we’re sure you know, Post 25 is offering Cornhole Games on Sundays at 11 AM and Tuesdays at 6:30 PM.

The Sunday, July 20th and 27th, games have been canceled. All of the Tuesday evening Cornhole Games are still ON.

We want to remind everyone that Tuesday evenings, starting at 6:30, it’s BINGO NIGHT! Our BINGO games are Open to the Public, so if you are coming out to play BINGO, bring your friends!

Did you know that Post 25 now has live entertainment FIVE NIGHTS a week? Wednesday through Sunday, there’s live music! See below.

Plus, Thursdays are RJ Pizza Days, and MEGASOUNDZ Karaoke will perform from 5 to 8 PM.

July 19, Larry Musgrave and Larry Joe Campbell will perform their “A Night of Entertainment” show from 5 to 9 PM. This is a FREE event!

Also, our resident dance instructor, Gina, is offering TWO dance classes in July.

On Sundays at 4 PM, it’s Single-Time East Coast Swing lessons. Then on Wednesdays at 4 PM it’s Foxtrot Dance Lessons. We have LOTS of dancers at Post 25, so come on out and learn some new smooth moves with Gina!

New July 2025 Dance Classes with Gina

   First, a big THANK YOU to everyone who came out on a rumbling, rainy day on July 4th to celebrate America’s 249th birthday! Did you get a Root Beer Float???

Yes, a GOOD TIME was had by all!

God has BLESSED America!

 

Our resident dance instructor, Gina, is offering TWO dance classes in July.

On Sundays at 4 PM, it’s Single-Time East Coast Swing lessons. Then on Wednesdays at 4 PM it’s Foxtrot Dance Lessons.

We have LOTS of dancers at Post 25, so come on out
and learn some new smooth moves with Gina! 

Also, every Thursday in July is RJ Pizza from 1 to 7 PM and Karaoke with MEGASOUNDZ from 5 to 8 PM! 

And if you like to play Cornhole, BIG DAWGS Cornhole will be holding games every Tuesday starting at 6:30 PM and Sundays starting at 11 AM. BIG DAWGS plays according to the American Cornhole League Rules.

Post 25’s July 4th Birthday Picnic, Don’t Cook, Free Food, Party With Us!

Celebrate America’s 249th Birthday at Post 25!

   America’s 249th Birthday is just around the corner, and American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid has BIG PLANS.

This is a FREE event, open to the public, as well as all Veterans, 1st Responders, and their families.

Date: Friday, July 4, 2025, 11 AM to 8 PM.

Music: TWO BANDS! Calico from 2 to 5 pm and Randy Sullens from 5 to 8 PM.

Food: Commander’s Chicken Quarters on the BBQ, Smoked Brisket Sandwiches, Hot Dogs on the grill, and Ice Cream Floats. ($4.00, $6.00 “Spiked”)

To our GREAT patrons, everyone is invited to “bring something” good to eat!

Activities: Cornhole Tournament, Raffles, a 50/50, a Dunk Tank, and for the children, a 25 foot Water Slide, Face Painting, Clowns from the Lake Placid Clown College, and Balloons.

Bar Games: Chips Ahoy at 1 PM, and Queen of Hearts at 7 PM.

Happy Hour: 2 to 5 PM.

(Please remember, no food or drinks from the outside)

Music, food, drinks, friends, games, ice cream floats, and patriots. That’s the American way!
