All the groups that comprise our American Legion Post 25 of Lake Placid; the American Legion (veterans), the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Sons of the American Legion have worked together through the years to create fundraisers and events that support patriotism and security while supporting non-profit groups that advocate for veterans, active-duty military and the local community in need.
The American Legion:

It is committed to sponsorship of wholesome community programs, the avocation of patriotism and honor, promoting national security, service to our local communities, and devotion to the needs of our veterans and their families.

Membership:
For information/applications regarding membership to the Legion (veterans), the Auxiliary (related to a veteran), or Sons of the American Legion, please visit us and talk to the office (11 AM – 2 PM Weekdays. Call 863-465-0975), our members wearing Post 25 shirts or bar service personnel for details and applications. We have lots of opportunities for members who would like to volunteer and contribute to community and veteran needs.
Membership dues are only $45 for one year.

The qualifiers for membership in the American Legion include:
1: Citizenship – must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. National.
2: Honorable Service – must have served in the Armed Forces of the United States since December 7, 1941, and either received a discharge of Honorable or General (Under Honorable Conditions) or be currently serving.
3: For Sons or Auxiliary membership – See the details on the specific application for veteran relationship qualifiers.
