The Beautification of Post 25 Continues!

Greetings,
While the weather has been cool, we have been working on sprucing up the outside of Post 25. The outside grill still needs electrical work and the installation of exhaust fans. We only have a few more easy projects we’d like to wrap up before it gets HOT.

Post 25 Yard Party! This Thursday! 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM

Here’s what we’d like to accomplish this
Thursday, March 28, starting at 8:30 AM.

* Stack the aluminum sheets and weed wack

* Move the Dunker behind one of the storage sheds

* Remove and dismantle the broken gate

* Misc. stuff removed from around the grounds

* Weed and spray around the perimeter of the building

* More trimming around the outer perimeter of the property

* Trimming around the wood pile

Bring your work gloves and any yard tools you think might help. Commander Fred will supply the Dunkin Donuts and Coffee!

Perhaps, after we complete our outside beautification project, we can have a Bond Fire Party out back!

A big thank you to all who attended Roadkill Bingo on Saturday. We had over 60 people and all had a rollicking good time–Swerving.

Here’s what’s happening March 18 to 24, 2024 at American Legion Post 25…

Monday, March 18, 2024 – Draft beers are only $1 and Bloody Marys are just $2. Bar Games: Shuffleboard at 1 pm, Chips Ahoy at 3 pm, and Darts at 6 pm.

Tuesday, March 19, 2024 – Draft beers are just $1 and Margaritas are just $3 (goes perfectly with the tacos!). Bar Games: Eucher at 1 pm, Chips Ahoy at 3 pm, and Sons of the American Legion BINGO at 6:30 pm.

Wednesday, March 20, 2024 – Wednesday Night Wings or Salisbury Steak with Randy Sullens playing from 5-8 pm. Bar Games: Chips Ahoy at 1 pm, Ship-Captain-Crew at 6 pm.

Thursday, March 21, 2024 – Create A Pizza from 4:30 to 6:30. Bar Games: Poker at 1 pm and Chips Ahoy at 3 pm.

Friday, March 22, 2024 – Prime Rib or Fish Fry for dinner and “Calico” playing from 6-9 pm. Bar Game: Chips Ahoy at 1 pm.

Saturday, March 23, 2024 – Highlands County Corvettes Car Show 11 am to 2 pm. Burgers for lunch from 12 noon to 2 pm.

Sunday, March 24, 2024 – Dinner served at the Bar. Jay & Lora perform from 5-8 pm. Bar Game: Chips Ahoy at 3 pm

March 30, 2024 – Commander’s Ball – Details to come.

April 13, 2024 – Legion Post 25’s annual “Back to the ’50s, Shake, Rattle, and Roll SOCK HOP!” 6-9 PM. Tickets sold at the Bar – $15 in advance or $20 at the door. The Post 25 Mess Hall will be serving 1950s-style favorites. Music by Memories Dance Party Band. 50/50 and Raffle Tickets available. Come out, bring your best moves, and dance holes in your shoes!

ROADKILL UPDATE!

Last Saturday’s ROADKILL game was a big success. We had over 40 players and LOTS of fun! Big “THANKS” to Jean Pheiffer, and Roger & Carolyn Hanson for all their help.

The next ROADKILL game will be on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 3-to-5 pm.

St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Sunday!

Greetings!

Since St. Patrick’s Day is this Sunday, March 17, 2024. Celebrate all Weekend with US!

Friday night the Post 25 Mess Hall will be serving up Prime Rib and Fried Fish for dinner from 4:00 to 6:00 and “Jay” will perform from 6-9 PM.

Join Us on Saturday when we will launch our ROADKILL Game!

Fast fun and you can win meats and door prizes. It’s BINGO meets Cards. For details, CLICK HERE.

Then from 5-8 PM, TJ Karaoke will have a Live mic for anyone who up for singing a few Irish tunes, or whatever TJ Karaoke has music for you to belt out!

St Patty’s Dinner at the Post

And on Sunday, the Post 25 Mess Hall will be serving the ULTIMATE “Irish” dinner, Corned Beef and Cabbage with Corn Bread from 4-6 PM, for just $12.

The AMAZING George Durhan & Gwen Simmons will rock the house and perform some classic old Irish songs.
