  Last Monday was Memorial Day, and Post 25 outdid itself!

On Saturday, May 24, Post 25 volunteers met at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid to place American flags on the tombstones of military veterans.

On Monday during the Memorial Day service, Commander Fred Pierce gave a rousing speech about service to country and duty. Denise Williams, 2nd Vice Commander, has a commanding public speaking voice and delivered a tribute to our Vets who served and those who gave all. Happy New Year & Here’s the January 2024 Calendar!

Greetings and Happy New Year from Legion Post 25!

To everyone who ushered in 2024 at our New Year’s Eve Party, a BIG thanks! A good time was had by all.

We have several NEW things that are launching in January.

First, the Legion’s Mess Hall Kitch will be serving food on Sundays.

Second, we’ll have some changes and additions to our food schedule! Details coming up next and the January entertainment schedule to follow.

And third, on Thursdays, starting Thursday, January 18, 2024, we will be hosting a Rock’n Roll DJ-style Dance and Pizza Party from 5:00-to-7:30 pm!

We are putting together great playlists of themed 50s-to-early 90s, hard-core dance music! Dance with us and have a pizza!

Be prepared to dance holes in your shoes!

“Gator” Will Perform Friday Night! – Tom Hanson Show Canceled –

Greetings! This just in!!!

Tom Hanson is feeling under the weather and will not be performing on Friday evening, December 29, 2023. “Gator” was kind enough to fill in on such a short notice.

ANYONE INTERESTED IN WINNING $13,047?!?!?

Tickets are $5 for one strip of six tickets; $10 for THREE strips or  (the BEST deal!) SEVEN tickets for $20. To get in on some Queen of Hearts action, tickets are available at one of the high-top tables in the bar area, and we’ll be going table-to-table selling tickets before the lights go up at 8 pm and when we give away MONEY!

And lastly, you can still get tickets for the Jay Boree New Year’s Eve Show from 8 pm to midnight. Tickets are $30 per-person or $50 per-couple. This includes dinner from 6 pm to 7:30 pm of either Rosemary Chicken or Pork Roast with two sides.

We have a very full schedule for January and two new events to share with you very soon.
