September 11, 2023 – A BIG DAY at Legion Post 25!

Monday, September 11, 2023, will be a day of solemn remembrance and thanks to our great Veterans and First Responders at Lake Placid Legion Post 25.

Beginning at 9 a.m. Commander Fred Pierce will preside over our annual 9-11 Remembrance for all those who lost their lives and America’s great First Responders.

9-11 is always a solemn occasion, as we all remember exactly where we were when we learned of the terrible news from New York City.

Immediately after the 9-11 commemoration, we will celebrate a happy event, the dedication of Post 25’s beautiful new mural, designed and painted by renowned local mural artist, Keith Goodson. Continue reading “September 11, 2023 – A BIG DAY at Legion Post 25!” →

Post 25 Generously Assists Veteran and Family!

Unprecedented generosity!

American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid, Florida has become a community hub for entertainment and comradery. On Friday nights members from all around our area come to Post 25 for an evening of good food, drinks, entertainment, and fun.

On Friday afternoon, August 11, 2023, Commander Fred Pierce got a call from the mother of a veteran living in Lake Placid in need of help. The Vet is out of the country and his mother is taking care of his two small children. The Mom was renting a home and dutifully paying her rent.
