Important Information From PROJECT: VetRelief

The amazing people from PROJECT: VetRelief gave a presentation at Post 25 yesterday. Some of you may have recently heard Commander Pierce talk about the issue of veteran suicide.

A study released in 2022 found that as many as 44 veterans die on average per day from suicide when accounting for overlooked causes of death that are aligned with suicidal and self-harm behavior, which is 2.4 times greater than the official estimate.

The good news from the PROJECT: VetRelief presentation is that there is a lot of help for Vets and their families.

Post 25 Cornhole Games Update

Last December, Rick and Misty Brehm brought Cornhole games to Post 25, and it has been a BIG HIT! To such an extent, they are expanding the games.

In addition to Tuesday evenings, beginning at 6:30, starting this Sunday, July 6, 2025, Post 25 will host Cornhole on Sundays to support the American Legion Riders.

Registration and set up are $15 per player, starting at 11 AM.

Bags fly at noon!

The weekend is upon us, and Legion Post 25 has a packed schedule. Saturday afternoon from noon to 2 PM, the Legion Cafe Kitchen will be cooking delicious burgers to order. (You get’n hungry or what?)

After your burger and fries, stick around and play Post 25’s ROADKILL Party. Yes, it’s a party when playing cards crashes into BINGO and you win MEATS! Yes, we’ve got the meats! There are Door Prizes and a 50/50!

And while you are there, stick around for the Rock Show. The popular local band Raisin’ Cain will rock the house from 5 to 8 PM, performing Rock music from the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. The band has been instructed, “Play hard, play loud, and ROCK it out!” Wear your leisure suit if you want and your best dancing shoes.

We know many of you love to dance. Come on over to Post 25 Sunday afternoon at 4 PM for Gina’s Merengue dance lessons. Learn some new moves! Gina also offers Cha Cha dance lessons on Wednesdays at 4 PM.
