Celebrate America’s 249th Birthday at Post 25!
Greetings,
America’s 249th Birthday is just around the corner, and American Legion Post 25 in Lake Placid has BIG PLANS.
This is a FREE event, open to the public, as well as all Veterans, 1st Responders, and their families.
Date: Friday, July 4, 2025, 11 AM to 8 PM.
Music: TWO BANDS! Calico from 2 to 5 pm and Randy Sullens from 5 to 8 PM.
Food: Commander’s Chicken Quarters on the BBQ, Smoked Brisket Sandwiches, Hot Dogs on the grill, and Ice Cream Floats. ($6.00, $8.00 “Spiked”)
Activities: Cornhole Tournament, Raffles, a 50/50, a Dunk Tank, and for the children, a 25 foot Water Slide, Face Painting, Clowns from the Lake Placid Clown College, and Balloons.
Bar Games: Chips Ahoy at 1 PM, and Queen of Hearts at 8 PM.
Happy Hour: 2 to 5 PM.
(Please remember, no food or drinks from the outside)
Music, food, drinks, friends, games, ice cream floats, and patriots. That’s the American way!

PS – If you love Golden Oldies, Memories Dance will be performing Sunday, June 29, 2025, from 5 to 8 PM. If you love to slow dance, jitterbug, swing, fox trot, the twist, or just shakin’ your stuff – come on out and dance holes in your shoes!
And speaking of dancing, our Post 25 resident dance instructor, Gina, will be offering Merengue Dance Lessons, Sunday, June 29, 2025, starting at 4 PM.
Let Gina teach you some new moves to use during the Memories Dance show!

expanded Happy Hour from 2 to 5 PM every day?
Summer is finally here, it’s HOT, but you can have a
COOL time at Post 25 this weekend!
