Northern Comfort Food!
Greetings,
Our resident gourmet chef, Pat Harris has planned another excellent meal for this Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 4:30-to-6:00 PM.
If you are a northerner, here’s some cold-weather comfort food; Roast pork, mashed potatoes. steamed broccoli, apple & celery salad, stuffing, gravy, a dinner roll, and pumpkin custard pie for dessert.
Price: just $18.00. First come, first served, come early!
You getting hungry, or what?
Local band, “Double Trouble” will perform from 5-to-8 PM.

We want to thank everyone who came out for last night’s Post 25 Halloween Party. George and Gwen rocked the house (as usual!) and we had lots of fun Halloween costumes.
The winners of our Halloween Costume Contest were…
1st Place – Rose Marie & Chet Heath. Rose Marie was the “Spider Girl” and Chet was the “Bug Catcher”. Chet and Rose Marie have been married for OVER 50 years, so I think that “Chet the Bug Catcher” caught his little “Spider Girl” sweetie a LONG time ago!
2nd Place – The “Googley-Eyed Mystery Clown”. Behind the totally concealing outfit was ???
3rd Place – The “New Orleans Cagun Queen”, Boshinka, from Sebring.

A reminder, tonight (Thursday) Gina’s Rumba Dance Lessons are from 6-to-8 PM.
Friday, November 1, 2024, the Post 25 Kitchen will be serving Fish Fry or Smoked Chicken for dinner from 4:30 to 7 PM. And Post 25 favorite, Jay will be belting out to Oldies from 6-to-9 PM.
Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Highlands County Corvette Club will stage their November Corvette Car Show from 11 AM-to-2 PM. And if it’s Saturday, that means Burgers and Hot Dogs will be available for lunch from 12 noon-to 2 PM.
And lastly, lots of “meetings” this Monday!
Attention all SONs members. The monthly SONs Meeting is Monday, November 4 at 6 PM. ALL MEMBERS of the Sons of the American Legion are invited. Come out to see and learn how the SONs conducts business.
The E-Board meets at 6 PM.
The Post 25 General Meeting starts at 7 PM. All members, Legionnaires, SONs, and Auxillary are invited. This is the best way to keep up on all things Post 25!
